This is not a continent, but a region that consists of 18 countries. 16 of them can be found in Asia, 1 in Africa, 1 in Europe and one country that straddles both the European as the Asian continent. Here’s a list of all the countries:

Some of the world’s oldest civilizations are connected to parts of today’s Middle East. Egyptian, Sumerian, Babylonian and Assyrian. The Egyptian is even known as the cradle of civilization. Which makes this region a very interesting one to travel through.
