The Adventure Book Review
There are multiple ways to keep your travel memories alive. By making a photo album, scrapbooking and journaling, for instance. Our family loves to do it all.
’d like to tell you about a company that sells products you can use for travel journaling and scrapbooking. It’s Dutch company The Adventure Book. They sell travel journals for you and your kids to document your travels in, so you can keep all your favorite memories in one place! And in addition to that they also sell travel journaling supplies like stickers and stamps.
If you’ve visited my travel product recommendations, than you’ve probably seen a link to The Adventure Book. I mention some of my favorite travel related products in my shop and this company is one of them. Because I’ve got some of their products in use for a while now I’d like to share my The Adventure Book review with you.

The Adventure Book travel journals
At this time The Adventure Book sells 5 different travel journals. The original one with all 196 countries in the world and the 50 states in the USA.
The Europe Edition filled with all 61 countries and territories, bucket lists and challenges.
The Asia Edition which is another continent journal, filled with 58 countries and territories geographically part of Asia.
The North America Edition the third continent journal, this time filled with all 39 countries and territories as well as the 50 states of the USA and the 13 provinces in Canada.
And last but not least, the only hardcover out of this quartet, The Ultimate Traveler’s Edition. The extended edition of the original journal, in which they added another 68 territories to the 196 countries that were already published in the original version of the book.
I’ll review the first two journals mentioned above. The original world edition and the Europe edition, because these are the items I own and use.
The Adventure Book – The Original
The original edition is the first book I bought and filled with all our travel memories. Besides 196 countries and 50 US states there are lots of other fun pages waiting to be filled.
There’s a page with a blank world map where you can color in the countries your family, or you if it’s your personal diary, has visited. And a list of countries with a check box in front, where you can check off all the countries visited.
Other fun pages are throw a dice to pick your next destination (and add it in the book) and a travel bingo game.
Rating
In conclusion, we love this travel journal. This book is clearly meant to contain a snippet of your adventures in a country. It gives you an amazing overview of all the countries you’ve visited. Every trip to a new country means a new portion in the book gets filled. And in the end, this is an amazing summary of your travel life and that of your family.
If you’re looking for a journal where you can add lots of info about a trip, then this is not the journal for you. But you can do both. Because if, like me, you feel like a snippet isn’t enough, just get yourself a blank scrapbook where you can add all your travel stubs and trinkets per trip. And keep some of it separate to fill your adventure book travel journal with. I promise you, you won’t regret it.
It’s an amazing way to keep the family travels alive for decades to come. The design is great. With it’s flexible cover and pocket size you can easily take it along an a multiple country trip. It’s a lightweight book and the design on the inside is clean. No frills, all to make sure you can fill it up just the way you like!

The Adventure Book – Europe Edition
For people who like to document their travels by continent with a whole spread per country, the continent adventure book journals are an amazing choice. At the moment you can get the North America and the Europe edition, which I’m reviewing here.
We’ve got the Europe edition and love some of the new ideas added, like a check list of European National Parks you’ve visited. And at the end of the book there are some blank pages just to get creative yourself and think of other European travel bits worth mentioning.
I recently took it with us on our Balkan family road trip and our youngest loved coloring in a new country on the day we crossed a border. What’s cool about this book is that it can easily be a collab with the kids. Our teen couldn’t be bothered, but our toddler and I sat down every few days and I gave him part of a page to fill and I filled the rest.
Rating
The Adventure Book Europe Edition is a great travel journal to pick if you’re mostly traveling within Europe. In that case you won’t need the World Edition and get more room to scrapbook your adventures in a European country.
The design is exactly the same as the original edition with a comparable amount of pages (for that extra room to write, draw, paint and stick).
Recently the North American Edition got published, so I’m guessing Nicole, the owner, is slowly but surely producing continent editions for us all to fill.

The Adventure Book also sells journaling supplies. You can use these stickers and stamps to liven up your The Adventure Book travel journal, but you can also use them in other journals, school diaries, general scrapbooking or in your travel photo albums.

Travel Sticker Set
The travel sticker set is inspired by all the continents and the seasons. All the stickers are hand-illustrated.
You’ll get 6 sheets of stickers, printed on matte paper, in the mail. All the sheets have different stickers on them. The size of the sheet is A5.
Rating
The illustrations by Studio Cornelia are cute and fun and will definitely make your journal entries more beautiful. I don’t just use them for my adventure book journals, but also for my other scrapbooks filled with travel memories.

Printable Stationary Set
The printable stationary set is a digital download containing beautiful illustrations of famous architecture, animals, trees and bushes and quotes. Furthermore you’ll find illustrated photo frames, letters of the alphabet and post stamps.
Once you purchase this item, you’ll receive a PDF that you can print out at home. Set to A5, so you can also print out 2 on one A4, that’s what I did.
Rating
I love the illustrations from Studio Cornelia. I did have some trouble printing them out, but that’s my printers fault and had nothing to do with the printable itself.
The only thing is that some illustrations are almost to small to cut out with a pair of scissors, like the alphabet. So I do advise to print all the illustrations out as on thicker paper than a normal A4 or A5, because chances are you’ll damage the paper. Sticker paper is also a great idea. It’s generally thicker and saves you the trouble of adding glue to a letter of the alphabet.

Wooden Stamp Set
The wooden stamp set is the last item in this product review. All 12 of them are travel inspired, like a plane, a camera, sun glasses and a compass.
The stamps come in 3 sizes: 2cm x 2cm, 1cm x 1cm and 1cm x 2cm. The handles are made of wood and the stamp is made from rubber. The ink pad with black ink is included. Like the other stationery items in this review, the design is made by Studio Cornelia.
Rating
Cute stamps of good quality. Like the stickers and the printable download you can use them for other things than just the travel journals.

Overall rating
In summary, I love all The Adventure Book products that I own and would highly recommend them. These are not the first travel journals I’ve tried and I think this Dutch company sells the best journals out there when it comes to travel journaling.
I might get more items in the future. If I do, I will let you know what I think.
